We all know in our hearts when something is unfair; something is just wrong.
Our gut tells us it's wrong
A teenage black boy was followed and shot by a vigilante in a gated community. The killer has yet to be arrested and interrogated.
We just know that mix of money and politics is bad.
We know it is wrong when the “Supreme” Court declared that money is free speech and corporations are “people”.
Our basic, human sense of fairness tells us when something is just plain wrong.
And neither the local governments, the NRA nor the high priests in their ivory tower (we call them “justices') can convince us otherwise.
We know it is wrong when money influences our elections.
We know it's wrong when the top 1% controls over 50% of the wealth in this country.
We know it's wrong when those big banks that nearly destroyed this country for profit are declared “too big to fail”, and none of the thieves who stole billions from our citizens' pockets went to jail.
We know it is wrong that access to health care is a privilege and not a basic right.
We know it is wrong when religious zealots are trying to deny women basic health care.
It is a long list.
But my fellow Americans.
If what is going on in our country feels wrong to the majority of people, it is probably wrong.
Don't allow the lawyers, the lobbyists and the bankers to get away with “murder”.
It's just wrong.
In a new video, American-born Al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn urges would-be jihadists in the U.S. to stock up on guns through the gun-show loophole: "America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms," Gadahn says. "You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?"
A Congressional investigation found that 47 of 58 terror suspects were allowed to purchase guns during a nine month investigation. The terror suspects passed their criminal background checks even though, "The gun buyers came up as positive matches on a classified internal FBI watch list that includes thousands of terrorist suspects...". Those suspects belong to Islamic fundamentalist and "militia" style terrorists groups. Senator Frank Lautenberg blamed what he called, "the Bush administration's 'twisted allegiances' to the National Rifle Association for the situation. The N.R.A. and gun-rights supporters in Congress have fought successfully, for the most part, to limit the use of the F.B.I.'s national gun-buying database as a tool for law enforcement investigators, saying the database would amount to an illegal registry of gun owners nationwide."
Terrorists are using our oil mainly to buy our guns to kill us...a Win-Win situation for terrorists and oil and military industrial complexes. Loose-loose for America. Remember that multi-national corporations do not have alliances with any country...they deal with anybody who pays. "Federal background checks on prospective gun buyers do not use 'terrorist watch lists' used at border crossings and airports."
